Stake casino has a pretty sizeable collection of in-house games. These can be found in under Stake Originals. You don’t need to stop there, as you can also find Stake Exclusives. It’s a rare case, but these aren’t just reskins of their existing slots. Rather it is a selection of slots developed with the Stake Engine by third part game developers such as Massive Studios, BGaming, Pragmatic Play and others. A similar category called Burst Games features some exclusive mini-games.
There are 28 originals at the moment and close to 200 exclusives, which is probably the biggest selection of unique games in any online casino. That’s what they’re selling, but is any of it worth buying? Read on or check from the casino directly.
What does Stake Casino offer?
Below you’ll find a detailed list of games and an overview of how they play, and how they compare to the competition or the baseline. Besides exclusive and originals Stake casino has the following:
- Slots
- Live Casino
- Sports Betting
There’s a VIP club, forum and a blog, plenty of promotions and tournaments, and the usual this and that of online casinos. And of course, ample amount of cryptocurrencies to use. We’re here to judge the games though, so let’s get on with it.
Crash Games
There are three different versions of crash available, with the eponymous Crash offering the standard experience in multiplayer format. Limbo is the simpler single player version with no cashout option. You simply set your target multiplier and hit bet. Slide on the other hand is multiplayer version of this. It’s an open question if these can be called Crash games, however the inspiration is quite clear.
Crash and Limbo both have 1% house edge, whilst Slide has 2%.
Plinko Games
Stake Plinko offers 8 to 16 pegs and a choice of low, medium or high difficulty. These are used to control the volatility, and of course the possible payouts. At the lowest setting max win is 5.6x, and at the highest setting it is 1,000x. House edge is 1%. Darts is a pretty similar game, simply changing the payout slots to dartboard rings with four difficulty levels. Max win is 500x with 2% house edge.
Multiplier Trail Games
The common factor with these games is control over difficulty (that’s volatility by another name), a multiplier trail for the wins, and ability to cash out between steps. For example Pump and Chicken. In one you pump the ball in the other cross the road step by step.
Rock Paper Scissors has you playing the very game against the computer, with similar scaling payouts the longer the win streak is. Snakes is similar, as you roll for result which can be a random multiplier or snake (loss). Flip comez from coinflip, where you have two choices to make and a house edge of 1%. Dragon Tower transforms the setting into a tower block with nine levels, and Mines takes inspiration from Minesweeper.
Hi-Lo is the most interesting of these games. You simply bet on whether the next card is higher or lower than the current card.
All have house edge of 2% with the exception of Flip and Hi-Lo which stands at 1%.
Table Games
Stake Originals table games are just the basic versions of the three most popular table games. Baccarat, blackjack and roulette. Nothing original or interesting.
Keno isn’t a table game, but falls in the category of classics. No surprises here either.
Stake Slots
At the moment Stake has three slots out from their own in-house content team: Tome of Life, Scarab Spin, and Blue Samurai. The first two are copies of each other, whilst the third one is a standard 40 payline slot with five reels. Casino Originals yeah, original no.
Other Games
Dice is basically an adjustable gamble game, with a slider running from 2 to 98. Simply need to roll over whichever number you choose, with house edge of 1%. Higher the number, the bigger the reward. Prime Dice complicated the game, which means increasing the max win to around 10,000x too.
Wheel is…well a wheel of fortune. Different segments have different payouts, similarly with 1% house edge. Packs is familair to anyone who has ever collected any sort of cards. Bet, draw your pack of cards and see what you win. 2% house edge on that one.
Cases is a very simple game. Bet and get the result, 2% house edge, with up to 10,000x on the line.
Diamonds is one of the more original ones, tat least on first look. On second look it seems to play about the same as video poker. Which there also is. Latter has better house edge.
Bars has you pick from one to five bars from 30, and then comes up with random multipliers for each. The fewer you choose, the higher the wins.
Stake Engine Exclusives
These games are a mix of exclusive titles from traditional slot developers and Stake-only developers. The latter might in future expand to other platforms. in either case, there’s close to two hundred slots that you can only find here.
Some studios worth mentioning:
- Massive Studios
- Titan Gaming
- Animo Studios
- Twist Gaming
- Mirror Image Gaming
Burst Games
Burst Games are pretty fresh type of casino games, which seem to originally come from mobile gaming, video games, social media and the cruypto scene itself. The genre itself doesn’t seem to decribe anything else, except the ability to play games in short burst. You will find all sorts here, from Plinko to drop games. Some only available at Stake, others present on most online casinos.
Are Stake Originals Provably Fair?
All casino originals from Stake come with the Provably Fair tool. Just press the button titled “Fairness” and you will be presented with an overview, seed and a toll to verify everything.
